Decision Anxiety Self-Test
How much is doubt
actually costing you?
Decision anxiety isn't one thing. It can show up as freezing before you choose, spiraling after you commit, chasing the "perfect" option indefinitely, or avoiding the choice entirely. This test maps which patterns are loudest for you — and how intense they are.
Analysis Paralysis
Difficulty committing; feeling frozen before the choice is made
Post-Decision Rumination
Second-guessing and replaying after you've already decided
Maximizing Tendency
Needing the "best" option; never satisfied with "good enough"
Avoidance & Approval
Delaying, deferring, or needing reassurance before deciding
This assessment is informed by four validated instruments: the Frost & Shows Indecisiveness Scale (1993), the Schwartz Maximization Scale (2002), the Scott & Bruce General Decision-Making Style Inventory (1995), and the Nolen-Hoeksema Response Styles Questionnaire (1991). It is an adapted screening tool, not a clinical diagnostic.
